Health and Safety
A Health and Safety document is updated each playgroup year. A copy of this is available for each family and it is important this is read.
Confidentiality
In keeping with guidelines from the SPPA and social services, the playgroup must now keep records of suspected child abuse. An attendance register and address/telephone record are also kept on file. Any problems you may wish to discuss with the play leaders will be treated in confidence. Whilst helping out on playgroup duty, all matters relating to the children should be kept confidential.
Security
The front door is locked each morning at 9:15am. When leaving after this time it is vital that parents ask to be let out so that the door remains locked.
Complaints and Procedures
The committee undertakes to deal promptly with any complaints or problems. Please speak to a committee member if you have any concerns or worries or you can contact the Care Commission in an effort to resolve the problem, without prejudice to child/parent. Care commission contact number is 0131 653 4100.
Sickness
Parents are asked to keep children at home when suffering/recovering from any infectious diseases such as: conjunctivitis, sickness, diarrhea, chicken pox, head lice etc.
Please inform the playgroup if your child is not going to attend either through sickness or other reasons.
